‘Every Child and Young Person in the Rother Valley Matters’
Short Breaks provide fun, leisure and social activities for children and young people with addition needs and disabilities outside the school day, both with and away from their siblings and parents or carers, enabling them to try new experiences, learn new skills, develop confidence and have fun!
Activities include sports, youth clubs, buddy schemes, holiday play schemes and one-to-one support. Services are delivered by a wide range of providers, across the whole of West Sussex, who are skilled in meeting the needs of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.
Details of all the short breaks organisations are in the Short Breaks Information Directory which is available below and which includes important information such as accessibility, parking and changing facilities.
Short breaks are available for those who: (1) reside in West Sussex (2) have an additional need and/or disability (3) are in receipt of either middle or high care components of Disability Living Allowance.
