EMTAS (Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service) has a small team of Advisory Teachers and Liaison Officers. We work with BME (Black and Minority Ethnic), GRT (Gypsy Roma Traveller) and bilingual children and young people. We work with schools to develop the skills and knowledge they need to unlock the potential of their pupils. One of the best ways to achieve this is by working closely with families. Our Liaison Officers are there to help schools and families to forge strong links.

EMTAS offers advice and guidance, support for parental and community engagement and training. A leaflet, explaining the service offered to maintained schools is available to download below. Services are available to free schools and academies upon completion of a Service Level Agreement.
