‘Every Child and Young Person in the Rother Valley Matters’
The child development service is run by the Sussex Community NHS Trust and offers co-ordinated, multi-disciplinary assessment, diagnosis and management. The team consists of paediatricians, speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and specialist health visitors.
- Most children are seen within the Child Development Centres; however children might also be seen within an educational setting, at home or within the local Child and Family Centre.
- Training is offered for parents for issues such as sensory difficulties, epilepsy, Makaton signing and social communication difficulties.
Referral required by GP or SENDCo
